Meet James and Mike, two friends who love their cars. They both drive stylish vehicles and share a passion for the open road. But there’s one key difference between them: James is an AA Kenya member, while Mike isn’t.
They both decide to join their respective car clubs for a weekend adventure.
As they set off on separate routes, James confidently explains to his friends, “You know, when I purchased my insurance, it came with AA Membership. It’s such a relief to have that extra support on the road.” His friends nod, impressed by the added benefits.
Meanwhile, Mike and his friends are traveling a scenic route, enjoying the thrill of the drive, knowing he has comprehensive insurance in case anything goes wrong. They’re buzzing with excitement, but they don’t have the same safety net as James.
Trouble on the Road
Just a few kilometres into their journeys, disaster strikes. James’s car begins to overheat. “Uh-oh, looks like I have to pull over,” he says, calmly steering to the side of the road.
At the same time, Mike’s car sputters and suddenly comes to a halt. “No, no, no! Not now!” he exclaims, as his friends gather around, trying to diagnose the issue.
The AA Advantage
While Mike is left stranded, James quickly pulls out his phone. “No worries, guys. I’ll call AA!” he says, confidently dialling the number. Within minutes, an AA recovery vehicle is on the scene, ready to assist.
“Wow, that was fast!” one of his friends remarks as the crew gets to work. They check the overheating issue, make minor repairs, and the car is ready to go again. James feels relieved, knowing he’s covered by AA’s 24/7 roadside assistance.
Meanwhile, Mike is still on the side of the road, surrounded by his friends. “I wish I had something like that,” he sighs as they attempt to troubleshoot the problem. After a frustrating hour, they decide to also call AA, who arrive and finally manage to get the car running again. However, since Mike is not a member, he is charged for the service that James received free of charge. Since the car body is not damaged, he can’t file an insurance claim. They eventually get moving again, but the delay costs them valuable time.
The Aftermath
Once back on the road, James arrives at his destination with ease. His fellow car club members are curious about his experience. “How did you get that kind of support?” one of them asks.
James smiles and shares, “With my insurance, I get AA Membership. It’s not just about driving; it’s about knowing help is always a call away.” His friends nod, intrigued by the idea of joining AA.
On the other hand, Mike arrives late and misses out on half the fun. “I really need to reconsider my options,” he admits to his friends. “Today showed me how important it is to have that kind of support.”
A Lesson Learned
As they head home, both friends reflect on their day. James, grateful for the safety net provided by AA Membership, feels a renewed appreciation for the peace of mind it brings. Mike, eager to avoid another stressful situation, is already looking up AA Membership on his phone, considering how to join.
“Next time, I want to be the one who gets to relax while waiting for help,” Mike says with determination. James smiles, knowing that soon, his friend will experience the same benefits he enjoys.
