By Timothy Albrite

Car owners, drivers, enthusiasts, and industry professionals turned up in large numbers on Saturday, June 28th at the Carnivore Grounds in Nairobi for the AA Kenya Auto Clinic. The day-long event, organised by AA Kenya, lived up to its promise of being a one-stop shop for car care, expert advice, and exposure to the latest automotive innovations.

The heart of the event was the series of comprehensive vehicle health checks, offered free of charge by seasoned automotive experts. From diagnostic scans and suspension tests to oil and battery checks, tyre assessments, and safari readiness inspections, vehicle owners got a thorough look into their car’s health status.

Leading automotive brands and service providers were on hand to offer personalized consultations and product demos:

  • Oriel Kenya conducted detailed suspension testing, giving drivers a clear picture of their vehicle’s handling safety.
  • Kingsway Tyres offered expert tyre checks, alongside guidance on batteries, oils, and service parts.
  • Hiview International showcased an array of car care products, headlight cleaning services, and their full tyre range including Roadcruza, Wanda, and Ultraforce brands.
  • Chloride Exide carried out vital battery, starter, and alternator checks.
  • Meridian Acceptances provided tailored vehicle financing advice to those looking for new or used vehicle purchases.

Beyond car maintenance, road safety education took center stage. AA Kenya used the event to engage attendees on safer driving habits and road awareness. Visitors received free eye checks courtesy of  MAMY Eyewear, alongside basic medical check-ups from partnering health teams from E plus.

Amref Kenya were also on ground to showcase their flying doctor services.

Adding to the day’s energy was the Best Driver Challenge, which ran alongside the Auto Clinic. Drivers tested their skills in live simulations and precision tests, drawing cheers from spectators with every tight turn and quick stop. The competition added a fun and interactive edge to the event.

With music, food, and drinks available on-site, families and motoring enthusiasts alike enjoyed the vibrant festival-like atmosphere.

For many, the event was not just about car care, it was about community, learning, and celebrating Kenya’s vibrant motoring culture. AA Kenya once again delivered on its commitment to empower motorists with knowledge, services, and road safety awareness, all under one roof.
