As the 2025 World Rally Championship (WRC) Safari Rally draws closer, there are a few road disruptions to be aware of, particularly around the opening ceremonies and rally stages.
Temporary Road Closures in Nairobi:
Starting Monday, March 17th, 2025, at 8:00 PM, City Hall Way will be closed from City Hall Roundabout to Parliament Roundabout. This closure is expected to last until Thursday, March 20th, 2025, at 3:00 PM, to facilitate preparations for the WRC Safari Rally’s opening ceremony.
Motorists are advised to plan alternative routes and expect detours. Police officers and traffic marshals will be stationed along the affected areas to guide drivers and ensure a smooth flow of traffic. Following their instructions will help minimize delays and keep the roads safe for everyone.
Shifting Traffic to Naivasha:
Following the flag-off on Thursday, rally traffic will shift towards Naivasha, as thousands of fans travel to witness the thrilling stages. Expect more vehicles on the road, so be prepared for potential delays and heavy traffic around rally hotspots.
