In 2023, AA Kenya introduced the Best Young Driver contest in Kenya, an annual road safety championship organised by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA). This is an initiative to raise awareness of road safety among young drivers and put forward the message they can drive skilfully, responsibly, safely and in an environmentally conscious way.

The inaugural event was a success with thousands of participants competing for the top spot where 2 champions represented Kenya at the global finals in Vienna, Austria.

The momentum continued in 2024, as the competition went regional allowing more drivers  across the country to take part. Angaya Cyrill Stark from Nairobi and Kevin Lee Kipruto from Eldoret emerged the finalists in a fiercely contested challenge, demonstrating not only impressive driving skill but also precision, knowledge, and a deep understanding of road safety principles.
