It was glamour and purpose at the AA Road Safety Excellence Awards, with smart suits, elegant dinner dresses, and a packed ballroom glowing under chandeliers at Nairobi Serena.
Guests sat at white-clad tables, facing giant screens branded AA Kenya and Road Safety Excellence Awards, while enjoying a sumptuous seven-course meal.
Elegance was in every detail — from the soft chandelier glow to the gold-sashed chairs and the ladies in flowing gowns — giving the evening a true red-carpet feel.
The high-profile guest list included FIA Head of Road Safety and Global Advocacy Luca Pascotto, Kenya Tourism Board CEO June Chepkemei, Kenyatta National Hospital CEO Dr. Richard Lesiyampe Leserian, NTSA Director of Road Safety Andrew Kiplagat and Kenya’s FIA motorsport representative Maina Muturi.
AA Kenya Board Chairman Aggrey Jonathan K. Bett introduced his board, with Group Managing Director Francis Theuri leading the awards programme.
Guests were entertained by a live band as they had their dinner, with soulful tunes setting a warm, celebratory mood between speeches.
In his address, the AAK Board Chairman underscored AA Kenya’s historic mandate.
“We have a responsibility of making our roads safer, and for more than a century, we have played a pivotal role in promoting road safety,” the Chairman said.
He added: “Every road crash is more than a transport incident. Many of these tragedies are preventable, and that way, these must always remain a national priority.”
AAK GMD Francis Theuri said the Awards recognise excellence and measurable contributions to safer roads, celebrating verified gains in collaboration and community impact.
