AA Kenya partners with Kenya Airways to offer Flight Delay Assistance for Asante Members

By Timothy Albrite

AA Kenya has partnered with Kenya Airways to give KQ’s Asante Members access to Flight Delay Assistance worldwide, in a move aimed at making flight delays easier to handle for travellers.

Under the new offering, KQ’s Asante Members can now access VIP airport lounges worldwide if their flight is delayed by more than 60 minutes. Instead of waiting in crowded terminals, travellers gain access to a quieter, more comfortable space to relax, dine, catch up on work, or simply unwind before their journey continues.

At its core, the service is designed to take the frustration out of delays. Rather than leaving passengers to figure things out on their own, it offers a simple, practical solution that improves the overall travel experience.

Using the service is straightforward. Travellers begin by downloading the AA Kenya Flight Delay Assistance app and logging in with their Asante membership number. They then enter their travel details, select their flight, and can add one additional passenger under the same booking. From there, the system takes over, monitoring the flight in real time.

If a delay of more than 60 minutes occurs, the member receives a notification on their phone along with a lounge access voucher. The voucher can be used at lounges worldwide, giving travellers immediate access to a more comfortable waiting environment.

This adds a layer of reassurance to travellers. Delays may be unavoidable, but how passengers experience them can now be very different. Instead of stress and uncertainty, there is a clear benefit built into the wait.

The partnership adds value to the Kenya Airways Asante programme by offering support when travellers need it most, during unexpected disruptions. It also extends the travel experience beyond the flight, giving passengers access to a global network of lounges wherever they are flying.

AA Kenya, established in 1919 and part of the FIA global network spanning more than 150 countries, continues to expand its role beyond motoring. Through services like Flight Delay Assistance, it is positioning itself as a key player in making travel smoother, more reliable, and more comfortable.

In a travel environment where delays are often unavoidable, this partnership ensures that passengers are not left to simply wait, but to wait better.
