The Gatimus are part of the KCB Racing Team, a strong local contingent that includes some of the top names in African rallying. The team will feature Kenya’s multiple-time national champion Karan Patel, rising star Nikhil Sachania and Evans Kavisi.
Tinashe will be behind the wheel of a Subaru Impreza GC8 with Caroline her mother and naviagator reading the pace notes.
Racing in the Safari Rally, one of the most brutal motorsports events in the world, is a significant milestone for Tinashe.
“I have an incredible group of people supporting me through the journey, helping me navigate the challenges of the sport. My parents have been instrumental in my rallying career, and our sponsors have eased our participation in this prestigious event,” Tinashe shared with enthusiasm.
The dynamic between mother and daughter has provided Tinashe with the invaluable guidance and experience she needs as she moves forward in her rallying career.
Their journey reflects the growing presence of women in motorsport, an arena where both Tinashe and Caroline are helping pave the way for future generations of female rally drivers and navigators.
