Fuel prices drop slightly in latest EPRA review

The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has reduced the maximum pump prices for Super Petrol, Diesel, and Kerosene for the period September-October 2025. 

In the period under review, the pump price of Super Petrol has decreased by KShs.0.79 per litre, Diesel by KShs.0.11 per litre, while Kerosene decreases by KShs.0.80 per litre.

In Nairobi, Super Petrol will now retail at KShs.184.52 per litre, Diesel at KShs.171.47, and Kerosene at KShs.154.78.

In Mombasa, Super Petrol will retail at Kshs.181.24, Diesel at 168.19 and Kerosene at Kshs 151.49 

In Kisumu, Super Petrol will retail at KShs.184.37, Diesel KShs.171.68, and Kerosene KShs.155.03 per litre.

“The prices are inclusive of the 16% VAT in line with the provisions of the Finance Act 2023, the Tax Laws (Amendment) Act 2024 & the revised rates for excise duty adjusted for inflation as per Legal Notice No. 194 of 2020,” read the statement by EPRA.
