The celebrations are still reverberating across Uganda after Yasin Nasser was crowned the FIA Africa Rally Champion 2025! The crowning of Ugandan driver’s remarkable achievement has sent shockwaves of joy across the country, with fans, friends, and family hailing him as a hero.
Nasser, who has been on a roll this season, proved his mettle in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, where he clinched the coveted title at the FIA Awards. His triumph is a testament to his unwavering dedication, unrelenting passion, and unshakeable commitment to the sport.
Speaking after receiving the award, Nasser expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his team, sponsors, fans, and family for their unwavering support. “Big shoutout to the incredible FIA team and the amazing city of Tashkent! We’re still on cloud nine after being crowned the African Rally Champions 2025! The energy, the competition, and the camaraderie made this experience truly unforgettable.”

The Ugandan driver’s achievement is a proud moment for his country, and his name will go down in history as one of the greatest rally drivers to ever represent Uganda on the international stage.
For Yasin, the 2025 season is a dream come true after years of trying and 26 years since Ugandan Charles Muhangi last won the African title.
