Carl “Flash” Tundo, a five-time winner of the WRC Safari Rally, took home another major victory by winning the Africa Rally Championship (ARC) category during the 2025 WRC Safari Rally.
Tundo, driving his Ford Fiesta R5, finished with a cumulative time of 5 minutes 31.02 seconds, securing first place and cementing his reputation as one of the sport’s top drivers.
Navigated by his longtime co-driver Tim Jessop, Tundo’s performance in the rally was nothing short of impressive. In addition to clinching the ARC title, Tundo also managed to finish in 7th place overall in the WRC2 category, further showcasing his versatility and skill on the demanding stages.
Wahome Jeremiah, also a prominent figure in the Kenyan rally scene, finished second in the ARC category with a time of 5:49.02, while Tanzania’s Yassin Nasser, navigated by Katumba Ali, claimed third with a time of 6:39.19.
Nasser’s finish was a significant achievement, as he managed to edge out Samman Vohra, who completed the rally in fourth place at 6:53.59.
The rally also saw other notable performances, with Nikhil Sachania finishing in 5th place (7:04.36) and Minesh Rathod rounding out the top six with a time of 8:53.00.
